DELIVERY & REFUNDS
Delivery & Refunds
PrintingCAD works on a quote-first basis. This means delivery times, delivery costs and project timelines are reviewed before payment, based on your file, design requirements, material choice, finish, supplier availability and project complexity. Before any work starts, we aim to provide a clear quote with the expected cost, estimated turnaround and next steps. If payment has been made and we later confirm that we cannot complete the accepted order, we will provide a full refund for the work we are unable to complete.
We can support UK and international customers. Delivery options, revision stages and any shipping requirements will be confirmed as part of your quote before work begins.
How Delivery Works
Each order is reviewed before confirming the final lead time and delivery method.
Project Review
We review your file, sketch, photos, dimensions or project brief before confirming whether the job is suitable.
Quote & Lead Time
You receive a quote with the estimated cost, expected turnaround and any important assumptions or requirements.
Work Begins After Approval
Once you accept the quote and make payment, the CAD design, printing or full project work begins.
Dispatch & Delivery
When the work is complete, your order is prepared for dispatch using a suitable delivery method.
Delivery Times
Delivery times depend on the type of project. A simple 3D printing request may be faster than a custom CAD design or a full design-to-print project. Larger, complex, multi-part or specialist material jobs may take longer.
Typical lead times are confirmed in your quote before payment. If a project is urgent, please mention this when submitting your request so we can check whether a faster route may be possible.
Before shipping a physical item, we aim to send photos of the completed part so you can see the result before it is dispatched.
Delivery Costs
Delivery costs are confirmed as part of your quote. The final delivery cost may depend on the size, weight, value, destination, packaging requirements and courier method required for the order.
CAD-only orders are delivered digitally, so there is no shipping charge for CAD-only work. Physical 3D printed parts and international orders may have delivery charges depending on the project and destination.
Where suitable, delivery may be included in the quoted project price. If separate delivery charges apply, these will be made clear before you approve the order.
File Formats
If your file is not in the required format, we may be able to advise on the best format for your project. In some cases, file format conversion may be possible before review.
You can also convert many common file formats for free using online tools such as AnyConv. Please make sure you keep a copy of your original file before converting, as file conversion can sometimes affect quality, scale or compatibility.
Refunds, Reprints & Custom Work
Because many PrintingCAD orders involve custom CAD design, bespoke manufacturing, personalised files or made-to-order 3D printed parts, refunds are handled differently from standard off-the-shelf products.
If we cannot complete an accepted order, we will provide a full refund for the work we are unable to complete. If part of the work has already been completed and delivered, any refund will be reviewed based on the completed work, project stage and what was agreed in the quote.
Once custom design or production work has started, cancellation or refund options may be limited. This is because time, labour, design work, supplier costs or material costs may already have been committed to the project.
If an item arrives damaged, incorrect, or significantly different from what was agreed, please contact us as soon as possible with photos, order details and a clear explanation of the issue. We will review the case and may offer a correction, revision, reprint, partial refund or other suitable resolution depending on the circumstances.
Revisions
Where revisions are included, this will be stated in your quote. Revision support may apply to CAD design work, design adjustments, file corrections or agreed project changes before final approval.
For international customers, revision stages can still be handled digitally where suitable. Physical delivery times and costs may vary depending on the destination and shipping method.
Revisions usually cover reasonable changes within the original project scope. Major changes, new requirements or a different design direction may require a revised quote.
Payments
Payments are handled securely through Stripe. We accept the payment methods available through Stripe at checkout or invoice payment, which may include major debit cards, credit cards and other supported payment options depending on your location and device.
Payment is only requested once your quote has been reviewed and you are ready to proceed.
Important Notes
- Custom 3D printed parts may show layer lines, support marks, surface texture or minor finish variation depending on the process and material.
- Dimensions, tolerances and fit depend on the quality of the information provided, the design process, material behaviour and manufacturing method.
- Parts intended for safety-critical, load-bearing, medical, electrical, automotive or regulated use should be properly assessed and validated before use.
- We may refuse requests that are unsafe, illegal, unsuitable, unclear or outside our capability.
